Current skincare routine

I have finally found key products that work amazing for my skincare routine (both day & night) & I wanted to share them with you.

I have the most bipolar skin ever, it regularly changes every few months from too dry to normal to spot prone so you can imagine it’s taken me years to finally find a skincare routine that is suitable for me. I’ve stuck with this routine for a few months now as I saw results straight away & it’s worked amazingly for me since. My skin has finally settled down and I finally have smoother, even & a lot clearer skin.

I’ve got 8 main steps in my skincare: Oil cleanser, Face wash, Exfoliate, Toner, Peel, Mask, Moisturise & Spot Treatment.

Oil Cleanser:
Boscia – Black Charcoal Cleansing Cloth
Banila Co – Clean it Zero Oil Cleanser
I love that this cleansing cloth is charcoal. This oil cleanser is by far the best oil cleanser I’ve ever used. It’s a balm to oil formula & leaves my skin feeling so clean without being oily.

Face wash & Exfoliator:
Clearasil – Ultra 5 in 1 Exfoliating Scrub.
Glamglow – Mud to Foam Supercleanse Daily Clearing Cleanser
I absolutely love the clearasil exfolating scrub because as it states on the bottle it helps reduce pimple size, excess oil, blocked pores, pimple marks & blackheads. The Glamglow mask helps with excess oil, makeup & unclog your pores. It’s also got a bit of a menthol feel so it’s perfect in the summer & leaves the face feeling so fresh.

Cleansing Tool:
I love using this brush from Olay when using the Banila co oil cleanser or Glamglow cleanser, it really made a difference in my skincare.

Micellar Water:
Bioderma – Sensibio Micellar Water
Sephora – Charcoal Micellar Water
These two are without a double the best Micellar Waters, I love using this to make sure I’ve gotten rid of every single bit of dirt or makeup thats left on my skin after cleansing. It leaves my face feeling so fresh & clean

Boscia – Exfoliating Peel Gel
Dr. Dennis Gross – Alpha Beta Extra Strength Daily Peel

Kiehls – Calendula Herbal-Extract Toner & Iris Extract Activating Treatment Essence

Glamglow – Flashmud & Thirtymud
L’oreal – Pure Clay Mask
The Flashmud is to brighten the skin & even out skintones it’s helped me so much with any pimple scarring & the thirsty mud is the best hydrating mask I’ve used as a lot of the times hydrating masks are what makes me break out. & Finally I’ve recently started using the Lóreal pure clay mask in charcoal & absolutely love the way it leaves my skin after. It is quite a drying mask so it’s best to use it once a week or so.

Petal – Rose & Lavender Face Cream
Cetaphil – Daily Facial Moisturiser
Kiehls – Midnight Recovery Eye Cream
Kiehls – Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado
I like to use the Cetaphil Moisturiser in the day as it is a more lightweight moisturiser while the Petal Facial Cream is a lot more thick and creamy so I like using that at night. The two eye creams are my absolute favourite, it helps reduce wrinkle and brightens up under my eyes.

Mario Badescu – Facial Spray With Aloe, Herbs & Rosewater
Tarte – Maracuja Oil
Also to keep my skin hydrated I love these two products. I think these two are differently a key in my skincare routine.

Spot Treatments:
Mario Badescu Skincare – Drying Lotion
The Body Shop – Tea Tree Oil
I absolutely love these two for any emergency spot treatments. The Mario Badescu drying lotion just saves my life when I get a pimple I put it on before I go to bed, wake up & it’s cone down completely.

  1. Absolutely love the products you have mentioned. I have been wanting to get myself the Mario spot treatment kit. I am 27 and my skin still acts like a teenager sometimes!! I can totally understand when you say your skin is different every now and then. Same as mine! Sometimes I go totally dry and sometimes SOOO oily its crazy! I will try out the Banila Co cleanser as I have been meaning to buy one for long now! Great post!!

    1. I had the whole kit before but I think the drying lotion is the best / only thing needed! You’ll love the cleanser it’s genuinely the best cleanser I’ve used & it’s great for both oily & dry skin! Thank you 🙂
