My everyday lip routine

I’ve changed my lip routine the past couple of weeks & have been really loving the way I’ve been doing them recently & thought I’d share it with you guys. So some of you may or may not know but my usual go to daytime lip routine is just applying lip balm and lipliner but obviously it doesn’t last as long as a lipstick would. It’s also getting colder here in Melbourne and my lips are getting a lot more dry so I’ve switched up my lip balm for some Maracuja oil and it works wonders!

(If you haven’t already read it, I’ve written a post about 4 products I use to maintain smooth plump lips so click here to read it)

So prior to this photo I had brushed my lips with my toothbrush other than that nothing has been applied to my lips. Before applying any lip product I like to make sure there is no dry skin so using your toothbrush is great to make sure it’s smooth, otherwise you can use your favourite lip scrub which works just as well.

I’ve switched my regular lip balm for my Maracuja Oil from Tarte. I apply a tiny drop onto my lips and oh my god does it make my lips feel incredibly soft & makes applying the lipliner so much easier.

I used the mac lipliner in “spice” which has been my absolute favourite lipliner at the moment. I think the colour is great for both day & nighttime as well as any season.

I then apply my favourite lipstick at the moment which is the mac lipstick in “velvet teddy” I find the lipliner & this lipstick go together soo well creating a natural gorgeous look thats great for everyday use.

Hope you like the look & enjoyed this post,
alexandra
