All things: Liquid lipstick

I’ve mentioned in posts before that I usually just use lip balm & a lipliner for my everyday makeup look but when I want to glam it up a bit I like to use liquid lipsticks. I gathered some from brands I love & thought I’d share swatches & how it looks on.

(Brands: Colourpop, Kat Von D, Too Faced, The Balm & Tarte)

I absolutely LOVE how Beeper looks, it’s been my go to for the 2 years or so & I still love it. Trap on the other hand comes out a lot more purple & pale than it looks in the bottle & in swatches, I must say it’s not as pale in person but it definitely doesn’t look like it does in the bottle.

Lolita has become my favourite liquid lipstick at the moment & as you can see it’s a gorgeous colour, it’s not dry which is something I love. I’d say the Kat Von D liquid lipsticks are very lightweight unlike the colourpop where I can feel it on (although it isn’t too uncomfortable). I find that all these colours came out more or less how it looked on the swatches although Lovesick does come out a bit more of a purple tone.

Too Faced Melted liquid lipsticks are my favourite in terms on how it feels on, they don’t dry up & the application feels more like a lipgloss minus the sticky feeling. I love Chihuahua for an everyday look & Coral for a summer look.

Namaste by Tarte comes out a lot more pale than I thought it would but I love mixing it with other lipsticks from time to time. The application was so smooth It’s quite similar texture to the NYX Lip cream.
Committed by The Balm is another one of my favourites. It lasts a really long time & I think it’s such a nice natural colour.

Hope you enjoyed this post,
Let me know what your favourite liquid lipsticks are in the comments below, I’d love to try out new ones!

  1. Wow, loved the blog! Just actually wrote a post on my favourite Purple Shades! My favourite liquid lipstick has got to be Topped with Brandy by MAC (pretty dry though)
